BMW M5 Saloon 612-Horsepower

The 328i-based ASC3 Turbo won't be the only new BMW model that AC Schnitzer will debut the 2012 Geneva Motor Show in a few days' time as the German tuning house has also scheduled the world premiere of its M5-based ACS5 Sport Saloon. The ACS5 Sport Saloon benefits from an upgraded version of the M5's 4.4-liter bi-turbo V8 with software tune and a custom exhaust system that do their part to lift output from 560hp and a peak torque of 680 Nm (502 lb-ft) to 612hp and a massive 790 Nm (582.6 lb-ft).
Removing the speed limiter allows the M5-based model to reach a top speed of 305km/h or 190mph.
AC Schnitzer's tune also boasts a new suspension spring kit and 20-inch wheels or as an option, 21-inch rims fitted with corresponding high-performance tires.
The aero bodywork comprises a carbon front spoiler, chromed front grille, roof spoiler, a boot lid spoiler or a more "Fast and Furious" style wing, and a carbon rear diffuser. The profile decals with the name of the model and the hood graphics are optional.
Customers can also spiff up the interior with numerous trims such as the blue décor seen in the pictured ACS5 Sport Saloon, along with aluminum pedals and a bespoke set of floor mats.

New BMW M5 gets an Acoustic System that Replicates the Engine Sounds in the Cabin

As with any new BMW, the latest V8-powered M5 F10 comes packed with an array of gadgets and gimmicky features, some of which you may like, some of which you may not.
One of the sports saloon's new features that may dismay purists is the Active Sound Design. To explain, this system is designed to –according to BMW- "accurately replicate" the sounds of the bi-turbocharged V8 engines inside the cabin through the vehicle's audio system.
BMW says that the electronically controlled system evenly spreads the sound across all five seats and that it takes into consideration a variety of factors including the performance mode settings. More details on the new feature in the press blurb after the jump.
