BMW M3 Coupe

German styling house Cam Shaft has wrapped up (literally) work on its latest project car based on the current generation of the BMW M3 Coupe. Being a company that specializes on car wraps, the highlight of Cam Shaft's M3 tune is the mat space-gray metallic foiling that costs €1,785 (US$2,230, including 19 percent VAT/Tax) for the body and an extra €715 (US$890) to cover other visible areas of the coupe such as the door and cabin surrounds.
Cam Shaft didn't stop there, however, as the tuner has also added a new front bumper with a protruding central air vent and larger side air inlets from Racing Dynamics, side skirts from Hamann Motorsport and 19-inch BBS alloy wheels wrapped around 245/35ZR19 rubber at the front and 265/35ZR19 at the rear.
Other available extras include an Akrapovič stainless steel exhaust system with 100 cell cats, a sports suspension plus carbon-fiber trim parts and aluminum pedals for the interior.

Ford Confirms Fuel Economy Figures for 2013

With only weeks left before the refreshed 2013 Taurus lands in dealerships across the U.S., Ford has released the official EPA fuel economy ratings for its refreshed full-size sedan. The Blue Oval notes that all three engine options of the 2013 model have now been certified at 25 mpg or higher in EPA highway estimates.
The new addition to the Taurus family, the 237HP 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder EcoBoost model, has received an EPA certification of 32 mpg on the highway and a combined rating of 26 mpg – the automaker has not yet released a figure for city driving.
Ford highlights the fact that the new Taurus 2.0-liter turbo returns a better highway economy than the 2012MY Chrysler 300, Chevrolet Impala, Dodge Charger and Toyota Avalon, adding that it's 26mpg combined rating is higher than the Mercedes-Benz E350 Bluetec diesel, Porsche Panamera S Hybrid as well as the V6 models of the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry.
The improved 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 that delivers 290hp (up from 263hp) returns 19mpg city, 29mpg highway and 23mpg combined (for the FWD model), while the flagship SHO model, which sports a 3.5-liter EcoBoost with 365HP, is rated at 17mpg city, 25mpg highway and 20mpg combined.

Lamborghini Murcielago with New M-GT Package

You can't get a new Lamborghini Murcielago –at least not from the factory- but for those that already own the Aventador's predecessor, German tuner DMC has readied a new performance and styling program. DMC says it starts by removing the V12 engine from the Italian supercar and performing a series of modifications that include among other things, the addition of 12 unique single intake throttle plates instead of 6, new gasoline pumps and lines, an ECU optimization and a custom exhaust system.
The tuner doesn't disclose the performance numbers but it says that the engine is re-branded as LP700, which hints at an output of 700-horses.
The exterior of the Murcielago M-GT is spiced up with redesigned front and rear bumpers with integrated diffusers made from carbon fiber, a newly developed rear wing spoiler and a glass engine cover.
For the interior of the supercar, DMC notes that it offers a complete makeover using carbon fiber and fine leathers.

MINI Clubvan is Concept

Proving that there's no end to the BMW Group's thirst for growth in any given segment, Mini has introduced the production version of the 2012 Geneva Motor Show Clubvan Concept.
Billed as "the world’s first premium compact delivery van", the seventh addition to Mini's lineup is based on the longer Clubman but does away with the rear seat bench and boot floor to gain a continuous loading area.
If filled up to the roof, there's 860 liters of load space. Mini says that the cargo area is 1,150mm long (45.3 in.) and at its narrowest point behind the rear doors, 1,020mm (40.2 in.) wide, while the van's maximum payload capacity is 500 kilograms (1,102 lbs).
Other changes over the Clubman include the fixed partition between the passenger compartment and load area while in order to be classified as a commercial vehicle and therefore, be taxed at a lower rate in select countries, the Clubvan is equipped with blocked-out rear side windows.
Mini's first commercial vehicle is offered in three engine flavors starting with the One that gets a 1.6-liter petrol engine delivering 97hp (98PS) for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration in 11.1 seconds, a top speed of 185 km/h (115 mph) and an average fuel economy of 5.5lt/100km (51.4 mpg UK / 42.8 mpg US).
Next up is the Cooper Clubvan sporting a 1.6-liter petrol with 121hp (122PS) allowing for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of 9.8 seconds, a top speed of 201 km/h (125 mph), and a combined fuel consumption of 5.5lt/100km (same as the One).
Finally, there's the Cooper D model equipped with a 110hp (112PS) four-cylinder diesel that accelerates the van from standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 10.2 seconds, on the way to a top speed of 197 km/h (122.4 mph). Mini quotes an average fuel consumption of 3.9 liters/100 km (72.4mpg UK / 60.3mpg US), corresponding to CO2 emissions of 103g/km.
All three models get a standard 6-speed manual gearbox while the Cooper D Clubvan can optionally be fitted with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The new Clubvan will make its first public outing at next weekend's Goodwood Festival of Speed with sales to start in the autumn.

Hyundai Veloster Coupe Shows its Face, will get 1.6-liter Turbo with 208HP

Unless you've been living under a rock, you know by now that Hyundai unveiled its Veloster coupe at the 2011 Detroit Motor Show. So, what's with the 'scoop' title of our post, we here you ask? Well, this here example is the European spec Veloster and it was caught undisguised by our spies in Germany ahead of its debut at the at the Geneva Salon in the beginning of March.
The only visible styling changes over the North American model concern the use of clear indicators up front, all-red tail lamps at the back and the newly styled alloy wheels. Unfortunately, our spies couldn't get close enough to the prototype to snag the interior, but don't expect to see any significant modifications other than trim and color options.
Up until now, we were in the dark about the engine lineup of the European model. However, we just learned from an official source that the Veloster will be offered with two gasoline engines including a flagship turbocharged four banger.
The Veloster will launch in Europe with the same 1.6-liter direct-injection four-banger as the NA-spec model, producing 140-horsepower and 167 Nm of peak torque for a 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint time of under 10 seconds. Power is transferred to the front wheels through a standard six-speed manual gearbox, or an optional dual-clutch transmission.
Europeans will also get a Blue Edition version that pairs the 140-horse motor with a start-stop system and some additional fuel-saving features, which help drop CO2 levels from 138 g/km to 129 g/km.
The crown jewel of the Veloster lineup will be a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with direct-injection technology and an output of 208-horsepower, allowing the car to complete the standard sprint in around 7 seconds. We don't know if or when Hyundai will offer this engine in North America.
The naturally aspirated models will go on sale in most European countries this April, with the UK following later in the year. The Veloster 1.6 Turbo will be added to the range in early 2012.
